Indicative pricing from recent registry listings — not a live trading feed. TrueCarbon Xchange is a pre-trade registry and marketplace; execution happens OTC.

Platform

Five modules, one lifecycle

Every credit moves through the same five modules, in the same order, with no shortcuts between them. Here's what each one actually does.

01 — Registry

The immutable ledger

Every credit batch is a serialized row: programme, vintage, quantity, and status. Serial numbers are generated exactly once, inside the same transaction that mints the batch, and never reconstructed anywhere else. Ownership lives in a separate Holding ledger, so a batch can be split across many owners as it trades without ever rewriting its own history.

02 — Programme manager

Configure once, issue many times

A programme defines the methodology, the vintage year range, and the buffer percentage withheld against future reversal risk. Every issuance request against that programme inherits its configuration automatically, so the net quantity calculation is never a manual step someone could get wrong.

03 — Marketplace

Cross-tenant, by design

Any organisation's active listings are visible to any other organisation on the registry, that's the entire point of a shared marketplace. A buyer orders against a listing's live remaining quantity, which is soft-reserved the moment an order is placed, not just when a seller accepts it, so two buyers can never both order the last unit.

04 — Settlement

One transaction, not three

Checkout creates a payment session through a provider-agnostic abstraction, mock for local testing today, Razorpay for production. The moment payment is confirmed, holdings transfer, the order is marked fulfilled, and the trade is captured, all inside a single atomic database transaction. There is no window where a payment succeeded but ownership didn't move.

05 — Retirement

Permanent, and provable

Retiring a credit is the one operation with no undo. Held quantity and the batch's registry-wide remaining quantity both decrement, and a certificate is generated with a QR code linking to a public verification page, no account, no login, no cooperation from the retiring organisation required to check it.

Built for both sides of the trade

For project developers

  • Submit issuance requests from verified field data and track them through review
  • List issued credits for sale, or grant a broker a mandate to list on your behalf

For buyers and brokers

  • Browse active listings across every organisation on the registry in one place
  • Complete KYC once, then order, checkout, and hold credits under your own tenant
  • Retire credits against a stated purpose and get a public certificate instantly
